FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Wright Graduate University students have many options to make their education more affordable. Our financial planning staff will walk you through every step!

• Federal Loans: Wright Graduate University participates in the Federal Direct Loan program for eligible degree and certificate programs. This includes Unsubsidized and Graduate PLUS loan programs. For more information, loan terms and conditions, please consult the Student Financial Aid Handbook. 
• Federal Grants: Wright Graduate University students are not eligible for federal grants such as Pell or TEACH. 
• State Grants: Wisconsin residents who are at least 25% Native American are eligible to apply for the Wisconsin Indian Grant. 
• Private Loans: A student may be eligible to participate in institutional or private loan programs, the terms and conditions of which may be less favorable than the provisions of a federal student loan. WGU does not have preferred lenders and strongly encourages students to research compare several lenders if they choose to seek private loan funding.
  
  The Wright Foundation for the Realization of Human Potential awards student loans as available to Wright Graduate University doctoral students who have been enrolled and admitted to Wright Graduate University and to Wright Graduate University Masters students that are ineligible for Title IV loan programs or other funding with approval. Application and selection criteria are available from the WGU Financial Aid Department and in the Student Financial Aid Handbook.
• Part-time Work: Part-time work may be available in areas such as IT, office support, and marketing. Each hour of part-time work counts as a $12 credit to the student account. Applications can be obtained from the Campus Director.
• Outside Scholarships: Outside scholarships received by the Financial Aid Department on behalf of a student will be applied to the student account. If doing so results in a credit, the student may request the funds be released to them for other educational expenses (books, etc.). The Director of Financial Aid will determine the appropriateness of the request in consultation with the student and the granting organization/individual.

Federal Student Aid is available to those students who qualify. To apply for federal financial aid, a student must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Financial aid is not guaranteed from one academic year to the next, and students must reapply for aid with each new award year and academic year. Wright Graduate University's federal school code is G42374.
