How will the MBA curriculum help me in my career?

"From a business standpoint, Wright is helping me manage many tasks at work and still be very present for the people that I am working with. On top of that, there is all the amazing curriculum I get to interact with on a daily basis. I find ways to weave in the curriculum into conversations I'm having at work so it helps give credibility to the topics I want to talk about.

I started the MBA a month before I began a brand new job and I had so many models and phrases that I could rely on when I was networking and building rapport. It gave me confidence because I had more things I could talk about and ways that I could connect with people."

- Drew Allison, Current MBA Student

What outcomes will I get from this MBA program?

"Personally, I have developed a better sense of self. I feel more capable, and I am sure I was always this capable, but I really never knew the amount I could accomplish and the influence I could have on people. It's directly a result of being pushed in this business program and pushed in a good way to use all of my talents and abilities to benefit myself and everyone around me.

Professionally, I have doubled my salary since I started, which feels amazing. During the course of the MBA program I switched jobs, and the boldness and business acumen I gained through Wright was the impetus for me taking this next step and finding a company I love to work for."

- Britta Newly, Current MBA Student

Do I have time to fit an MBA into my life?

"One of the biggest things in my life right now is this MBA program. I learned early on to define my resources when I started this program, and the three that came to mind were my attention, my energy, and my time. The value for me of putting my attention, energy, and time into this program is establishing more bandwidth for myself.

Working full time, managing other areas of my life, and then integrating the MBA coursework on top of everything has shown me that I can do a lot more than I ever gave myself credit for. I am learning to do more, and as a result I have a much higher standard for myself, personally and professionally."

- Drew Allison, Current MBA Student

What should I know about the MBA at Wright Graduate University?

"If I met someone and they were an incoming business student, I would say to them, 'This is going to be the most rewarding thing you have ever done. There are going to be time that you will want to quit, and those likely are the times when you are just about to make a breakthrough.' Every time I have struggled is the time when I really started to get a concept and apply it in a real way in my life - sticking through those moments has been so beneficial to me.

I would also say, get ready to be supported! The Wright community is amazing. You have incredible access to faculty, but you can also reach out fellow students. The amount of support you receive from the students at Wright is something I've never had in another program."

Meet Our Students And Grads

See how Wright Graduate University helped them transform their lives.

Wright Graduate University is the most unique education I have ever experienced. In my second year of studies, I was single and living by myself; however, I barely felt lonely because I was getting so much connection, support, and nourishment from my Wright Graduate University education. Now, the person who didn’t want to be a coach, who didn’t want to be a leader, wants to be a coach and a leader who can bring what I’ve been learning to people in Japan.

Wright Graduate University has enhanced my life in ways I never thought possible. The yearning-based learning methodology has allowed me to learn more about myself and how I operate in different environments. I am a mother of two young girls, I work full-time, and I am a business partner. I, regrettably, waited two years before choosing to sign up for the master’s program thinking I needed to change my circumstances to open space for education. Let me ensure you, it will not detract from but only enhance your current life.

What I discovered at Wright Graduate University was a dimension of richness of human interaction which I had never experienced. My relationship with my clients and coworkers became enhanced by what I was learning. I could see people’s strengths and weaknesses more clearly and support them better. I had more grace for my own struggles as I learned more about what made me tick. I have never been more connected to myself and others.

My transformational leadership studies are empowering me to be a satisfied woman in business, making sure that I’m not backing down when I have a vision, an initiative, something that I feel is important that I’m going for. Because I’m looking out for each person, the whole group is successful and everyone benefits.

I have been integrating my academic research and personal development directly into my role. I’ve been able to combine my leadership with my coursework by bringing personalized examples into my assignments. Between the WGU faculty and my student cohort, I’ve received critical feedback that I’ve taken directly into my company - positively impacting myself and my team in the process.
