ICF CREDENTIALING PATHWAY:

Emergence Coach Training

Eligible Wright Graduate University students seeking credentialing as coaches can add Emergence Coach Training (ECT) to their degree and/or certificate programs as a pathway to certification by the International Coach Federation (ICF).

The Wright Foundation's Emergence Coach Training is approved by the International Coach Federation as "Level 2 ICF-Accredited Coaching Education" for those seeking to earn the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential. Completion of Level 2 Education is one of several paths a coach may choose to earn a coaching credential from ICF. Please visit coachingfederation.org to learn more about ICF’s different coaching credentials and the paths to credentialing.

Eligibility

Application, acceptance, and enrollment in one of the following programs:

  • Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership and Coaching
  • Graduate Certificate in Transformational Coaching

Interested students not enrolled in the above degree or certificate program but who meet Wright Graduate University’s admission requirements may be eligible to audit Emergence Coach Training. Contact info@wrightgrad.edu for details.

Timeframe

Emergence Coach Training requires one quarter of coursework. Individual mentoring sessions, examination, and coaching practice can be held according to your schedule after you complete the initial quarter of coursework.

Coursework

The following courses are included in both degree and certificate programs to which the Emergence Coach Training ICF pathway can be added. Adding ECT to your degree or certificate does not add additional requirements, time, or costs to these courses, except that you must attend the course meetings real-time.

Other Emergence Coach Training Components

In addition to the course requirements already included in your degree or certificate program, Emergence Coach Training includes:

  • Three individual mentoring sessions with an ICF-approved mentor
  • Final exam and evaluation

Other ICF Credentialing Requirements

Emergence Coach Training, as a Level 2 ICF-Accredited Coaching Education, provides the education, mentor coaching, and performance evaluation components required for completion of either an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential with ICF.

ICF also requires coaching experience as a qualification for certification:

  • The ACC Credential requires completion of 100 hours of coaching, 75 of which must be sessions for which you are paid
  • The PCC Credential requires completion of 500 hours of coaching, 450 of which must be sessions for which you are paid
